This tablet runs on the Android operating system that has access to thousands of free games and apps both for entertainment and learning. It has a front and rear facing camera for taking photos and videos. It also has wifi so you can connect at home on your wifi network or at any hotspot.

Orbo Jr. 7 Inch Tablet
Here is another tablet that is more of a regular tablet, but this one has more of a kids look and is more durable due to the case that comes with it. It comes in blue, pink or red colors as well. So it’s pretty kid ready right out of the box with no additional covers or cases needed.
This tablet is a little less powerful than the Dragon, so this may be for a little younger audience, probably 10 and younger. It is also based on the Android operating system so you have access to the same free games and apps to download as the dragon above.
This tablet is a little more light weight and better designed for smaller hands, so that is definitely something to consider. You do have access to their library of children’s apps and it comes preloaded with 9 already which is enough to keep most kids entertained for a long time. No need to mess with parental controls or anything, they can only access children’s content. There is no internet browser or anything like that.
This is not ran on batteries, you can plug it in to charge which is huge. Usually these more child designed tablets run on batteries. It actually has a great 9 hours of battery life once fully charged, so for long car trips your in pretty good shape. They are also made well so they can take a beating from kids.

Vtech Inno Tab 3 Plus Learning Tablet
This is definitely not a real tablet, I suggest one like this if your child has little to no experience using a table and is under the age of 5. This is a great first tablet for kids that aren’t looking for the type of features that your phone would have. It’s not Android based so you only have access to Vtech’s library of Apps.
One of the biggest cons to this tablet is that it’s run on batteries when used away from it’s AC adapter. It does come with rechargeable batteries, so that is a plus and you can play it at home with it’s AC adapter.
It does come with 10 great apps preloaded on the tablet, which provides a lot of entertainment and learning for your child. It does have a camera for taking photos and videos and has expandable storage via a Micro SD slot.
