I would strong suggest that you look for something that’s not an actual tablet that your used to. They are not designed with kids in mind and the interface can be a little confusing for them. I’m sure many of you have that 2 year old that can use your iphone or galaxy with ease, but for most kids these younger aimed tablets are the way to go. Check out the options available!
Leappad Ultra Kids Tablet
The best thing about this tablet is that it’s fully kid save right out of the box. It can access wifi but only allows access to a kid safe internet. It has a bright and vibrant 7 inch screen. If you already own leappad games, this is compatible with all of those. Any apps or games you have purchased will be ready to go with the Leappad ultra.
It comes with 8gb of memory and has a front and rear facing camera for your child to enjoy. It also has a 480p video recorder. It comes with 11 different preloaded games and apps. Art Studio, Pet Pad Fun, Photo Studio are just to name a few. It also acts as an MP3 player and comes with 10 preloaded songs.
You will have access to over 800 games apps and ebooks for your child to enjoy. This is definitely one of the best child friendly tablets on the market. Click the link below to read consumer reviews, check prices and read more about the leappad ultra tablet.

Kindle Fire For Kids
This is more of a real tablet than kids tablet, but it works great for the kids. It’s not child safe out of the box, but you have great parental controls to configure.
It’s a bright full HD display and comes with wifi. There is a 6 inch and 7 inch model that comes with 8gb of storage. One of the more disappointing things about the Kindle fire is that it does not have a camera. I’m not sure why they decided to skip the camera, but they did.
This tablet is considerably more powerful and you will get much better performance out of it than most other on the list. So it’s probably better for the kid that’s closer to 4 on your list.
Here’s the big selling point for this tablet. It comes with a service called Free time unlimited for free for one year. This is a custom subscription for kids, it includes over 5,000 books, shows, games and educational apps. This is huge, most of the time it’s not as much about the tablet as it is the content. The kindle fire hd dominates when it comes to content.
It also comes with a great drop proof case in blue, green or pink. They cases are very sturdy and look great! Click below for more information and to see user reviews of the Kind Fire for kids.

Orbo Jr
The Orbo Jr. is not the best tablet on this list, but it’s here for a reason. It get’s my vote for most bang for buck on this list. You can get the Orbo Jr for $50-60 which is quite a bit less expensive than most the other tablets on the list.
It’s a smaller tablet at only 4.1 inches but fits great into small hands. It comes with 4gb of storage and comes preloaded with plenty of fun educational apps and games. If your someone who loves a lot of content I would probably look elsewhere. But if you want an affordable tablet that has some fun games and apps, look no further the Orbo Jr. is for you!

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids
Here is another great tablet for kids. If you currently have a galaxy tab this might be the way to go, since the functionality and interface will be familiar to you.
This tablet also comes with a camera for photos and videos. It has a high quality 7 inch display and comes with 8gb of memory. It has a solid strong design that makes it resistant to breaks. The Samsung galaxy tab 3 kids also has great parental controls so you can make sure you kids see only what you want them to see.
There is a nice sized library of apps and games for you to browse through, which makes this a great choice. It also comes pre loaded with plenty for your child to do. Click below fore more detailed information and user reviews on this great kids tablet.

Vtech InnoTab 3S
This is definitely more of a “kids” tablet like the Leappad above. If you have the money, the leappad has more features and apps, but if you are looking to buy on a budget the Vtech is the tablet for you. It comes in at around $60-70.
It has 4gb of storage and a rotating camera for front or rear facing photos. It comes preloaded with several great apps and has a nice selection in the store. The selection was not as good as the leappad, but it was enough to keep a young kid occupied.
It comes in pink and blue, but also has a Fairies and Mickey mouse themed option, which are pretty neat! They are pretty durable and have a pretty kid friendly interface.
